Our trip through Holland and Belgium is over. It was a pretty amazing and insightful week, and I’m glad I went, although Mark and I missed out on some pretty amazing motorcycle weather. It will take a while to sort through all the images, and even more so the video. Here’s the first pic to post. Many more will go up on FB, so if your not a fan on Facebook, here’s the link to fan up!

Engagement location shoot dates for pictures in Central Park, NYC are hereby announced! I’m hungry for a slice of that big Apple, and can’t wait to get going. Subway’s street corners and the Park are all options, and spring is coming quick. I’ll be in the city for appointments on Saturdays- April 17th and 24th and if rained out in April, finally May 8th. If this is in your package, or not, there is limited availability for time slots. Once they’re full that’s it! Call me or email and we’ll set it up…

Walking through Miami International, I spied a photo op. I grabbed the Iphone to take a quick pic, but suddenly felt a little weird. I’m standing in the terminal, photographing aircraft and wondering if, well I look suspicious? Now I start trying to make my photo-taking less obvious, feeling like I’m going to be mistaken for the weird guy at the park that offers little kids candy and feeling MORE obvious taking photos. In more than 20 years, I’ve never felt uncomfortable taking a picture, except at that moment. I shuffled off to my flight. Boarding the aircraft, i was singled out for a pat down, even though I had already been through security. Guess I should have shaved that morning, I must have looked the profile…

Valerie and Chris met me down near 59th for their session in Central Park. it was already hot, and wended our way through the crowds shooting down by the boathouse and by the Wollman Rink. The sun was out and the park was full, but they were very accomodating (thanks Val & Chris!) I got some great stuff, and had a nice shoot on a perfect spring day. What’s better than that?

Sunday was beautiful in NY, but a bit unusual. A combination of mishaps made for a long day. First, I rushed out early, and in my haste left my wallet behind. (Camera bag was properly packed though.) My credit cards, metrocard and all my cash save twelve bucks stayed home. The shoot was very nice, and i used some free time to snap some stuff for fun. By the time I made it back to Penn i was on my last 4 bucks. That’s when the power to the railline near New Rochelle gave out and left hundreds of us wondering how we were going to get home. Finally a diesel hauled two trains a point where we could switch back to electric engines, and thankfully air-conditioned cars, and we set out home. Still a classic summer day in Central Park.

Pennsylvania countryside
375+ miles today along Route 81. Snow followed us through Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Heavy flurries finally made us put the Jiffy stand down near Harrisburg.
