Drifting Sand

The lifeguard chairs are off the beach, the wind carries the sand over the footpaths between the dunes. Sure signs that summers come to an end. The crowds were gone from the beach tonight during our photo shoot, but it was nice to feel the wind, smell the salt and watch the sun go down…

Every Little Thing

Nature served up some perfect weather, the bride was lovely and the locales? well, it’s Newport right? Swing Away

Down at Gooseberry this week, I was working the crowd. Three kids 2, 4, and 5. We were playing games and working hard. Finally the kids were just about out of gas, I clicked off the last few shots. I love the natural look of this one, even if it’s a pile on. If it’s a hit or a miss with the client only time will tell, but you can’t hit the homer unless you swing away…

A Full Circle

I went to a wedding and a party broke out! Really- it was in high gear when I arrived. Of course I knew it was going to be a great wedding. We filmed Katrina and TJ’s Cinema intro in the spring before the wedding date. From Oceancliff to the shooting in the bar upstairs at Pelham East, they were fun and a pleasure to work with. On the wedding day we met an amazing group that took part in their fabulous Newport wedding. Here’s the show- check out Toni Chandler’s flowers, at the ceremony- beautiful!

Dueling Pickups

We shot this friends session at the beach recently, and ran out of light fast on a foggy evening ’round seven. Some of these are a little soft because of the late hour, but think how amazing this picture will be with the “classic” pickups at the reunion 20 years from now…

In Our Backyard

I’ve been many places, but I truly love shooting in our backyard- Newport. The quintessential Newport mansion wedding at Rosecliff is beautiful, timeless, and a Rhode Island classic. Jen and Devin’s was no exception- a gorgeous late summer afternoon, good friends, food and a powerhouse band- Brickpark rocked this party ’til the big finale, a duet that brought the house down. here’s the show….

Stormy Weather

We started out with a bright sunny day at the Marriott, made a quick bounce to the drive for pictures before the ceremony and headed for the water taxi across to Regatta Place. A brief and heavy downpour caught us just before we made the boat. perfect timing actually, because the ceremony went off without a hitch and the skies cleared for us. The Newport Experience crew handled the storm easily and a beautiful evening followed.. here’s the show
