In the Hub on Sunday for a location shoot with Steph and Sean. It was a hot afternoon, but we cooled it off with some pix by the reflecting pool. There were too many good ones to post, but I loved the pix by the fountains, even if I did get a little wet…

Katrina, TJ and I stopped by the Eisenhower House for a few pix on our engagement tour this week. I love this property down by Fort Adams. The view is amazing, the setting a dream Newport destination for events, and it’s close to many sweet locations.

I was in Boston last week for this session with Dianne and Dennis. Super shots by the State House and the Swan boats of course. It’s tough to choose but you know I’m biased towards the Starbucks pic. We barged in to the shop around the corner from their apt, collecting lattes and images from a spot where they have shared many a conversation over a cup, by the window…slideshow

I asked, “were did you find each other?” “We met on a plane” he smiled. “To Vegas” You knew the pictures weren’t going to be typical, didn’t you? In the back of my mind, I could see Bert Stern shooting these two in the 63rd street studio, the big jukebox blaring. This one’s going to be cool….

Not every day is a sunny day, nor does it have to be. Lisa and Tyler’s day at the beach delivered one of my favorite pix. It was almost a miss- these are usually the best ones. It just has that feel to it…

A great couple- they told me the story of how they met when the baseball game they were at was rained out. We did a little studio stuff, then hit the beach for pictures. Not fans of posed stuff, it was a fun set of natural pictures. Can’t wait for the wedding!

I headed into providence the day after the snowstorm for an engagement shoot “downcity”. Providence has a very different feel than NYC or Boston. A lot less busy, but some great spots for pix, even in February. I thought my couple might bail on having the session the day after the storm, but they were lot of fun, even when I dragged them into my caffeine mecca for some shots in the Starbucks inside the Biltmore. Thanks a “latte” for bearing with me- here’s the clip…

It was a ideal plan I must admit: under the guise of a couple’s photo session, he would surprise her with the “question”. Camera ready, we did some studio stuff, and then headed out to the beach. A late start meant they would arrive at the beach only 15 minutes before the light for this moment was gone.  It would be a day to remember. The weather was cold and windy, but he took off his coat and took a knee. The light was amazing, the most even lighting, despite the chance of a harsh November sun. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a few snowflakes. Of course, you know what the answer was!

Saturday’s engagement session was in the heart of Boston at Fenway Park. It was a lot of fun and amazing to see every corner of the Park, from the seats high above the Green Monster to the Dwight Evans Room. Thanks to my baseball lovin’ clients! The wedding day is next – here’s the slideshow.

I took the bike over to Jamestown this week for pix with John and Meghan. This won’t be a stodgy event on the wedding day. They’re both a lot of fun, and we zipped around town for pictures in some favorite spots. Our session ended down at Beavertail near the light (a favorite spot for me with my love of lighthouse images and lore) on the rocky bluffs overlooking the ocean. Rhode Island is really a beautiful place- what’s your favorite locale in the Ocean State?
