Armor & Martel is a professional imaging studio located just minutes from Newport, Rhode Island. In 1998, Two artists sought to create a place where natural relaxed portraits of people, of defining moments and true expression could be found. The studio continues that history today, serving clients with excellent imagery locally and nationally, with a group of fun, dedicated individuals that love pictures and visual imagery.
A camera is a box, that we fill with light- literally reflected from the people we photograph. To make that reflection real, we must first listen- with ears and heart, then create an image in a split second of how that moment feels, then and there.
The ‘art of photography”: If there is an art, it’s in the way the photographer makes the images happen. It’s a balance of left brain/right brain. A mix of science, technique, storytelling and understanding people.
